what to expect:
before, during & after
part 1
Getting comfortable
From the initial inquiry, to scheduling your consultation and booking, our sessions are all about comfort and ease. Talking through colors, props, wardrobe and scheduling a time that works best for your session...these are all things that make a big difference when it comes to our time together.
part 2
our time together
Whether it's a newborn session, siblings or a momma and her baby bump, we make it easy. With sets, props and wardrobe ready to go, we keep the action flowing and aim to have fun while we focus on creating memories for you to cherish.
part 3
the editing process
From the minute we wrap up our time together, to the moment your gallery is delivered, we focus on giving our special attention to each and every image that we shoot. We spend and average of 10 days curating a beautiful and cohesive soft-proof gallery for you to choose your final images from and deliver your fully edited images within 48 hours of selection. With the time that we have invested in learning and perfecting our art, comes great pride in the images and products that we produce for each and every client we work with.
part 4
Choosing your memories
Almost all of our clients will tell you that this part is both an easy process to go through but that it's also a challenge. Selecting favorites and leaving favorites behind is hard...but you don't have to! Yes, a set amount of digitals are included with your session, but we offer ways to take home more of your gallery favorites in albums, ready-to-hang framed prints, canvas or additional digital bundles. We source our prints and products from professional labs and guarantee that your cherished heirloom pieces will last for generations. And all of our products are in our studio space to view during your consultation, while we shoot or during an ordering appointment. We can help you through the entire process.

When do you typically take newborns and when should I book? It's never too early to book your newborn session. Most clients book 6 weeks to a month before their due date to make sure that we have everything ready to go once baby arrives. Newborns are preferred between 8 and 12 days new to take advantage of their squishiness and sleepiness, this way we have a greater chance of getting all the shots during our time together.
-
Do you provide wardrobe options for me and my family? We do! Our client wardrobe mostly caters to our littles and starts at newborn and goes up to around a toddler 2 for boys and an 8 for girls, with more focus on our 6mo to 2 year olds. We also have a selection of maternity dresses and bodysuits for our mommas-to-be. All of our clients have full access to any pieces that we have and items can be selected during our consultation appointments.
-
How should I prepare for my session?Booking a consultation is truly the best way, either over the phone or in person. We cover workflow, props, colors, wardrobe and you have to chance to ask any additional questions you might have before your session. For my newborn sessions, consultations are required because there is just so much involved and it's a great way to have a better understanding of what to expect and you will also receive an prep guide via email a few days before your session. And we get to meet! Making sure we're a good fit for each other is important, too.

Do you shoot outdoors?I do, sometimes, but I am no longer taking any new families for outdoor sessions, but will continue to work with my established clients. Balancing work and family can be a challenge when most outdoor sessions are in the evenings and on weekends, and the Houston weather can be too hot and unpredictable to allow for reschedules to easily happen. The wonderful thing about having a studio is that it's an incredibly controlled environment and I am able to accomodate families of up to about 5. So if you are interested in an intimate studio family session, i'm your gal.

What's your most popular product? Here are my top 3: photo albums, prints, canvas. They all vary in price and we definitely have something to fit your budget if heirloom pieces are something you're interesed in. You have already invested the time, energy and money into peserving special moments - just to hide your digitals on your hard drive? Show those babies off! You'll never regret investing in keepsakes.

What do you shoot with?I'm a Canon girl. Always have been and probably always will be. I recently purchased the EOS R5 Full-Frame Mirrorless (SWOOOON!) and loved on my Mark III for about 6 years. It's a workhorse and I pull it out when I need to. My 35mm 1.4 L lens lives on my body but I do enjoy shooting with my 135mm when outdoors. I'm a Buff girl when it comes to my studio lighting and use an Alien Bee with an 86" white PLM umbrella.
